Principal Geologist (Mining)

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada; preference for candidates based in or willing to work from Reno, Nevada, with qualified applicants in Vancouver, BC, and Saskatoon, SK encouraged to apply. The position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000, depending on experience and expertise.

What you will do

• Lead and contribute to complex mining projects across the project life cycle.
• Deliver geological services focused on resource modeling, resource estimation, and Qualified Person oversight.
• Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams and maintain project quality, industry standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Support proposal preparation, business development, and client relationship management.
• Mentor staff and contribute to recruiting and professional development initiatives.
• Represent hirify.global at industry events, conferences, and professional engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in geology or geological engineering.
• 15–20 years of applied geology experience across the mining value chain, including modeling, estimation, and technical leadership in consulting.
• Professional designation such as Professional Geologist, P.Geo. (Canada), or CPG (AIPG).
• Proficiency in geological modeling software and data analytics tools.
• Experience with multiple commodities and deposit types, plus strong strategic, commercial, and business judgment.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; business-related vehicle use is required during work hours.
