Journeyworker Maintenance Mechanic (CNC/PLC)

What you will do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, align, and dismantle industrial mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical, and CNC equipment.
• Perform precision maintenance and rebuilds on conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, presses, rotating equipment, and other production machinery.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, motors, servos, encoders, motor controls, and FANUC robotic welding cells.
• Support new equipment installations, line moves, process changes, equipment integration, and commissioning with engineering teams.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs, manage the Limble PM program, document modifications, and improve equipment reliability.
• Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, machining, vibration-related work, inventory management, employee training, and apprentice mentoring.

Requirements

• Journeyman certification in Industrial Mechanics, Millwright, or an equivalent recognized trade qualification.
• At least 5 years of industrial, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance experience.
• Hands-on experience with electrical systems from low voltage through 480 volts and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot power and control systems and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings.
• Ability to safely perform lockout/tagout, confined-space, hot-work, and elevated-work procedures.
• Must work on-site in Germantown, Wisconsin, and successfully complete employment eligibility verification, background checks, and required pre-employment testing.

Nice to have

• Additional journeyman certification, previous leadership experience, or 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with Limble, continuous pouring equipment, robotic welding applications, E-Coat processing equipment, ladder logic, and one-line diagrams.
