Maintenance Tech (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including injection and blow molders, fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers.
• Maintain and repair facility and auxiliary systems such as chillers, air compressors, reverse osmosis, water filtration, and general plant equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment.
• Maintain industrial control systems and repair VFDs, servo systems, PLC input/output cards, communication systems, and safety modules.
• Document repairs, work orders, parts usage, and equipment issues throughout the shift.
• Collaborate with operators, supervisors, preventive maintenance mechanics, senior technicians, and management to resolve recurring equipment problems safely and promptly.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience in maintenance or a similar field, in the position, and managing people or projects; six years is preferred.
• High school diploma required; an associate degree in manufacturing, mechatronics, automation, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process instrumentation schematics.
• Experience with shop equipment, power tools, precision measuring equipment, and industrial equipment repair.
• Ability to communicate effectively across departments, work independently, and train others in a technical area.
• Own toolbox and basic tools required.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics.
• Experience with Krones, Sidel, Husky, rotary equipment, HVAC, chillers, air compressors, plastics processing, or thermodynamics.
• Fabrication and welding experience, including MIG, TIG, or stick welding.
• Experience with 480VAC and 24VDC electrical systems, ASI-BUS, CAN-BUS, PROFIBUS, and Ethernet communications.
