Senior Biofuels Research Analyst (US Biofuels)

What you will do

• Build, refine, and maintain supply-and-demand balances and price forecasts for renewable diesel, biodiesel, ethanol, SAF, and key agricultural feedstocks.
• Connect agricultural research across oilseeds, vegetable oils, and grains with oil and middle distillates intelligence.
• Analyze US biofuels policy and regulatory drivers, including RFS/RINs, LCFS, clean fuel producer credits, crush economics, and trade flows.
• Produce written commentary, reports, market views, client presentations, webinars, conference materials, and media contributions.
• Partner with data engineering and product teams to scope and validate scrapers and automated data pipelines.
• Provide research that supports client trust, product retention, and commercial growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in commodity market research and analytics, including direct experience with US biofuel and feedstock fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of US biofuels policy, including RFS/RINs, LCFS, and clean fuel producer credits.
• Experience building, maintaining, and refining quantitative supply-and-demand balances and price forecasting models.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and derive meaningful insights.
• Understanding of agricultural supply chains, energy economics, and biofuel margins.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Energy, Agricultural Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with large datasets using SQL, Python, or VBA.
• An established network of US biofuel, energy, or agricultural market contacts.
• Experience in fast-paced, global, or cross-functional research environments.
