DOW SkillBridge - Operations or Fleet Maintenance - Georgia

Location: Savannah, Georgia, USA; onsite operations and fleet maintenance programs.

hirify.global is an industry partner of the Department of War SkillBridge Program, providing transitioning service members with opportunities to train in operations or fleet maintenance.

What you will do

• Supervise hauling and collection activities across commercial, residential, roll-off, or container delivery operations.
• Coordinate drivers, helpers, or fleet maintenance technicians and support operational leadership.
• Implement initiatives focused on safety, customer experience, efficiency, and budget achievement.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and repairs for trucks, containers, diesel and alternative-fuel equipment, and other heavy-duty machinery.
• Plan and schedule repair work to ensure safe, timely completion and reduce lost productivity.
• Maintain compliance with company safety standards and federal and state regulations.

Requirements

• Must be currently serving as an active-duty U.S. Armed Forces servicemember.
• Must be within one year of the End of Active Service transition date.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn and participate in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective task management skills, high motivation, and a desire to learn and grow.
• SkillBridge participation requires authorization from the unit commander and is mission-dependent.
