Painter - 3rd Shift (Manufacturing)

Salary: $26.75 per hour starting rate, plus a $1.00 per hour premium for the 3rd shift

What you will do

• Prepare substrates and apply customer-specified coatings and surface treatments.
• Mix coatings according to manufacturer specifications and verify proper dry and cure times.
• Inspect coating thickness and finish, avoiding or repairing runs, sags, thin spots, and other defects.
• Adjust paint and process parameters based on humidity, temperature, and process anomalies.
• Clean and perform preventive maintenance on painting and mixing equipment.
• Maintain grounding and air-filtration systems, complete quality documentation, and keep the work area safe and organized.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and write.
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
• Ability to pass a physical examination required for respirator use.
• Ability to enter confined spaces when required.
• Ability to frequently lift or carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift 65–70 pound paint pails; lifting devices are available.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or technical school training.
• One to three years of painting experience.
• Previous manufacturing experience.

• 3rd shift runs Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a paid lunch.
