Managing Director, Global Ocean Product

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates in any US location can be considered. Listed locations include Gardena, California; Jamaica, New York; and Memphis, Tennessee.

Salary: $13,169.66–$27,656.28 per month, dependent on the selected candidate's market.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the global ocean carrier freight strategy and maintain consistent operational standards.
• Drive revenue growth, gross profit, market share, and key account development for the ocean freight product.
• Build strategic partnerships with ocean carrier lines, partners, and charter operators.
• Lead procurement strategy, block space agreements, long-term contracts, charter solutions, and carrier performance management.
• Own the global P&L, budgets, forecasts, yield optimization, cost control, and margin improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, security requirements, and customs standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in international freight forwarding or ocean carrier cargo logistics.
• Significant experience in ocean carrier freight product management, procurement, and P&L ownership.
• Experience managing global or multi-country operations within a global logistics network.
• Strong knowledge of ocean carrier capacity management, pricing, and trade lane dynamics.
• Proven commercial negotiation, strategic leadership, and cross-cultural change management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
