Production Group Leader (Manufacturing)

Location: Aurora, Ohio, USA; onsite, second shift Monday–Thursday, 2:30 p.m.–12:30 a.m.

Salary: $25–$31.25 per hour, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, direct, and coordinate day-to-day production operations on the assigned shift.
• Organize labor, materials, and support services to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Coach, train, motivate, and support production team members while assisting with personnel issues.
• Implement standard operating procedures and recommend improvements to production processes.
• Coordinate material flow from receiving through shipping and communicate with supervisors and other departments.
• Ensure production goals, safety requirements, equipment use, PPE compliance, and shipping deadlines are achieved.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least three years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to read basic drawings and work orders, follow directions, use hand and power tools, and perform basic mechanical and mathematical calculations.
• Ability to supervise or coach staff, support teamwork and process improvement, and promote quality and safety.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing control systems, machining, production, and logistics software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus strong communication, judgment, critical-thinking, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain industrial equipment certifications, work a flexible schedule, travel for training, and perform physical duties including lifting up to 85 pounds.
