Front-End UI Developer (Fintech)

Location: Remote, with candidates required to live within approximately 70 miles of offices in Birmingham, AL; Charlotte, NC; Louisville, KY; Cedar Falls, IA; Allen, TX; Overland Park, KS; Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO. The role is listed as hybrid and may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding.

What you will do

• Create simple mockups, prototypes, visual assets, and basic interactions.
• Translate mockups, wireframes, and requirements into functional front-end experiences using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Adapt existing designs and front-end frameworks for responsive experiences across multiple devices.
• Contribute to style guides, reusable UI components, and established design-system patterns.
• Apply user-centered design, accessibility, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility principles.
• Identify usability issues and support testing, troubleshooting, and updates while collaborating with product, design, data science, and engineering partners.

Requirements

• At least two years of professional experience, internship experience, relevant coursework, or a combination in front-end development and/or UI design.
• Experience developing responsive web interfaces with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
• Ability to collaborate, receive feedback, solve basic problems, and learn new tools and technologies.
• Must live within approximately 70 miles of one of the specified U.S. office locations.
• Immigration sponsorship and support are not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience creating mockups or prototypes and translating established designs into functional digital experiences.
• Exposure to React, Angular, or Vue.
• Familiarity with Figma or a similar design and prototyping tool.
• Knowledge of accessibility, responsive design, usability, or design-system principles.
• A portfolio, course project, internship, or personal project demonstrating front-end or UI work.
