Senior Web Engineer (React)

Location: Hybrid, in person-first in Sydney; four days per week in the Surry Hills HQ

What you will do

• Own the production health, technical roadmap, architecture, and ongoing development of hirify.global.com.
• Build responsive, accessible, production-quality pages and interactions while preserving design intent.
• Improve reusable components, design tokens, typed content models, page-generation pipelines, and authoring workflows.
• Partner with Demand Generation and Growth on landing pages, personalization, experiments, analytics, forms, calls to action, and lead integrations.
• Improve Core Web Vitals, accessibility, metadata, structured data, cross-browser behavior, testing, and deployment reliability.
• Use AI-assisted development, coding agents, internal tools, code review, documentation, and architecture decisions to raise the quality and speed of web delivery.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience building production web experiences.
• Deep experience with React and TypeScript, plus strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, browser, networking, and rendering fundamentals.
• Experience owning web platforms end to end, including architecture, reusable components, content systems, build tooling, deployment, observability, and developer experience.
• Hands-on experience improving real-user performance and building inclusive experiences with semantic HTML, keyboard access, focus behavior, responsive design, and restrained motion.
• Practical experience using coding agents and modern AI tools such as Claude or Codex, while maintaining engineering judgment.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration, commercial judgment, attention to visual detail, and a bias to action.

Nice to have

• Experience with NextJS, GraphQL, Emotion, Netlify, Buildkite, Segment, HubSpot, or Salesforce.
