Strategic Asset Manager (Property)

Salary: £66,378–£73,602 per annum

What you will do

• Lead the strategic management of the Council’s corporate property portfolio.
• Drive the asset management strategy, property review programme, acquisitions, disposals, valuations and estate management activities.
• Identify opportunities for income generation and maximise the value and performance of land and property assets.
• Provide expert property advice to elected Members, senior officers, stakeholders and external partners.
• Lead major property projects and transactions supporting regeneration and corporate priorities.
• Manage and develop a high-performing professional property team.

Requirements

• Relevant professional property qualification and membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
• Substantial experience in corporate asset management, estate management, property acquisitions and disposals, valuations and income generation.
• Experience managing diverse property portfolios and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong understanding of asset management, property law and local government property practices.
• Strong commercial, strategic, negotiation, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in the United Kingdom in a hybrid arrangement.
