Public Health Principal (Live Well, Age Well/Adults)

Location: Hybrid, with work from Town Hall in Romford, United Kingdom and from home

Salary: £66,378–£73,602 per annum

What you will do

• Plan, manage, and lead a portfolio of public health work focused on the Live Well and Age Well adult life stages.
• Apply expert public health knowledge to deliver complex programmes and influence policy and practice.
• Advise Council and NHS colleagues, elected members, partners, and partnership boards using public health evidence.
• Participate in the Public Health Senior Management Team and improve the service’s capacity and capability.
• Line-manage public health staff and lead their professional development.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Policy, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant senior-level experience in public health and substantial experience leading complex programmes.
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver multiple programmes of work simultaneously.
• Strong public health specialist knowledge and experience engaging diverse stakeholders and communities.
• Commitment to continued professional development, including an intention to work towards specialist UKPHR registration through the portfolio route.
