Senior Company Nurse (Urology/Continence Care)

Location: Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, United Kingdom; the role is permanent and based onsite, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Salary: £46,000–£56,000 per year, depending on experience and other legitimate business factors.

Develops, manufactures and markets healthcare products for ostomy care, continence care and critical care, alongside educational materials for patients and healthcare professionals.

What you will do

• Provide professional leadership, supervision, coaching and development support to nursing colleagues.
• Contribute to the operational management of specialist bladder, bowel and continence services, including referrals, caseloads, waiting times and capacity.
• Support clinical governance, incident reporting, safeguarding, audit, quality assurance and inspection readiness.
• Support bladder assessment pathways, intermittent self-catheterisation, catheter management, continence assessment and commissioned urodynamic activities.
• Contribute to pathway redesign, service improvement, business cases and dissemination of clinical outcomes.
• Monitor service activity, key performance indicators, quality metrics, contractual requirements and resource utilisation.

Requirements

• Valid NMC PIN and qualified RGN nurse status are essential.
• At least 7 years of nursing experience with proven experience or strong interest in urology or continence care.
• Experience managing staff and demonstrating professional and managerial credibility.
• Experience presenting or publishing, involvement in CQC regulations, and computer literacy.
• Knowledge of holistic, research-based patient care, continence or stoma care practice, statutory requirements and NHS priorities.
• Leadership, communication, prioritisation, deadline management and commitment to continuing professional development.

Nice to have

• Recognised continence care or urology qualification.
• Recent post-registration training and development.
