Salary: £42,000–£52,000 per year, depending on experience and other legitimate business factors

What you will do

• Provide specialist bladder, bowel, and continence support to patients with neurogenic dysfunction, spinal cord injuries, and complex neurological conditions.
• Support urodynamics services, including patient preparation, education, clinical assessment, documentation, and follow-up.
• Manage an allocated caseload, triage referrals, monitor outcomes, and escalate concerns when required.
• Develop and deliver education programmes on bladder, bowel, continence, and catheter management for NHS staff, community teams, patients, and carers.
• Support safeguarding, infection prevention, incident reporting, complaint reviews, clinical audit, and quality improvement.
• Contribute to clinical pathways, policies, patient information, service development, and multidisciplinary stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

• Valid NMC PIN and qualification as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
• At least 3 years of nursing experience with demonstrable urology clinical experience and a strong interest in urology or continence care.
• Knowledge of research-based holistic patient care and current professional and clinical developments.
• Experience organising workload, managing priorities, and using clinical IT systems such as EMIS and SystemOne.
• Strong communication skills across clinical teams, patients, families, carers, and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of financial control and managing a service within its budget.

Nice to have

• Community nursing experience.
• Recognised continence care or urology qualification.
• Recent post-registration training and professional development.
