VP, Security (AI)

Location: Remote - US

Salary: $298,000–$400,000 USD base pay per year, plus equity; some roles may include an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Own security strategy, hirify.globalering, operations, corporate IT, and the company’s trust posture.
• Build the AI security function, including an internal AI gateway with authorization, logging, DLP, model allowlisting, and shadow AI discovery.
• Define AWS agent identity with scoped roles and short-lived credentials, and secure customer-facing AI surfaces with MCP authorization, prompt-abuse detection, output filtering, and continuous red-team testing.
• Lead AppSec, SecArch, SecOps, CloudSec, and corporate IT across a team of approximately ten people at full staffing.
• Drive secure-by-design intake, secrets remediation, RBAC, SIEM detection hirify.globalering, automated response, identity logging, endpoint security, and SaaS administration.
• Own customer security reviews, fundraising diligence, enterprise trust artifacts, and technical controls supporting SOC 2 and PCI.

Requirements

• 12+ years of security experience, including 5+ years leading security organizations.
• Experience with hypergrowth environments and major fundraising or IPO-track diligence.
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, prompt injection, agentic access, model-mediated data exfiltration, and LLM red teaming.
• Experience building new security functions from zero headcount to operational teams with effective controls.
• Fluency in AWS identity, CSPM, EDR, SIEM operations, and modern AppSec tooling in CI.
• Executive communication skills, including board briefings, enterprise security reviews, and leadership decision-making.

Nice to have

• Experience securing customer-facing AI or LLM products at scale.
• Background in payments, travel, or another PCI-regulated, high-transaction-volume environment.
• Experience partnering with legal on privacy programs and GDPR, CCPA, or emerging AI regulation.
