Cybersecurity Architect (AI)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with four days per week in the office

What you will do

• Develop and deliver a comprehensive cybersecurity program protecting information, applications, infrastructure, and privacy.
• Define cybersecurity controls, requirements, processes, and procedures for secure infrastructure and application architecture.
• Conduct security, vulnerability, risk, and control assessments across internal and cloud-hosted systems handling customer or sensitive information.
• Design requirements for networks, firewalls, VPNs, security devices, public key infrastructure, and digital signatures.
• Partner with infrastructure, application, engineering, development, and governance stakeholders to reduce security and privacy risks.
• Mentor team members and support cybersecurity education, training, awareness, and strategy development.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in information technology or cybersecurity as an architect or engineer with security expertise.
• Hands-on knowledge of application architecture, web and mobile technologies, identity and access management, cloud security, software security, and deployment methodologies.
• Experience with financial industry cybersecurity requirements and regulations, firewalls, IDS, log management, network troubleshooting, and CI/CD infrastructure management.
• Experience securing cloud deployments, containers, Kubernetes, managed Kubernetes platforms, Agile environments, and DevOps environments.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation with languages such as Python, Go, or Ruby, plus experience with infrastructure and security as code and microservice architecture.
• CISSP, CISM, or equivalent cybersecurity certification or experience; a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with cybersecurity hacking tools and techniques.
• Cloud cybersecurity certifications such as CCSP, CCSK, or a cloud-provider certification.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development or automation, prompting techniques, and emerging GenAI capabilities.
