Software Engineer (Threat Intelligence Platforms)

Location: Edinburgh, Bristol or Manchester, United Kingdom; hybrid work with at least two days per week or 40% of working time in the office.

What you will do

• Build maintainable, well-tested Python applications, services, and integrations.
• Design integrations between internal and external platforms to automate security and threat intelligence workflows.
• Develop, deploy, operate, and troubleshoot applications in containerised and Kubernetes-based environments.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to reliable software delivery and engineering standards.
• Investigate incidents, resolve defects, and improve service resilience, security, performance, and observability.
• Work with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to shape technical designs and deliver practical solutions, including AI-enabled automation.

Requirements

• Strong experience developing software in Python.
• Experience with Linux, Bash scripting, CI/CD tools, deployment pipelines, Kubernetes, and container-based application deployment.
• Experience building and supporting APIs, services, or system integrations.
• Understanding of software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, DevOps principles, and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams and the ability to solve technical challenges independently.
• Understanding of AI concepts and the ability to implement practical AI-driven solutions in applications and workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience in threat intelligence, cybersecurity, or security operations.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence concepts, data sources, intelligence workflows, and third-party security platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, monitoring, observability, or operational support.
