AI Science Intern (AI)

Location: Hybrid work at an hirify.global office in Mountain View, California; Atlanta, Georgia; New York, New York; or San Diego, California. Relocation stipend provided.

Salary: $42.69–$86.68 per hour, with potential eligibility for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Gather, clean, explore, and transform large real-world datasets for machine learning, including data wrangling and ETL.
• Build, train, and evaluate machine learning and deep learning models for classification, regression, clustering, optimization, and neural network applications.
• Engineer features, design experiments such as A/B tests, perform statistical analysis, and assess model performance.
• Research generative AI and large language models and develop proofs of concept for AI-driven features.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Analysts, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to turn insights into product impact.
• Document research, model architectures, code, and experimental results for technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science or a related technical field, or in a Bachelor's or Master's program with relevant experience and graduation after the internship ends.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for the duration of the internship.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment at an hirify.global office location.
• Familiarity with core machine learning techniques and their mathematical foundations.
• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in SQL.
• Ability to prepare data from multiple sources for machine learning, with strong communication skills and curiosity about generative AI and LLMs.
