Summer Associate Internship (Data Scientist)

Location: Vienna, VA, United States (Hybrid); 820 Follin Lane SE, Vienna, VA 22180. Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Salary: $26.44–$46.88 per hour

What you will do

• Support data science and machine-learning initiatives for membership and deposit products.
• Build predictive propensity models to identify member behaviors and opportunities for product engagement.
• Retrieve, analyze, and model large datasets in an Azure Databricks environment.
• Perform feature engineering by creating and adjusting flags and aggregate data for future modeling.
• Use AI and generative AI tools to develop analytical solutions and measurable business value.
• Package results into executive-level presentations and present findings to senior management.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Experience with Python and PySpark, SQL, Microsoft Azure, and Databricks.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work through ambiguous analytical problems.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Vienna, Virginia, United States.
