Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Bellevue preferred; exceptional remote candidates considered. Travel to customer sites approximately 20–30%.

What you will do

• Build and deploy LLM-powered applications and multi-agent workflows in production.
• Design end-to-end solutions integrating APIs, enterprise systems, and data platforms.
• Partner directly with customers to translate business problems into scalable AI solutions.
• Own delivery from prototype through production and iteration.
• Optimize systems for performance, cost, and reliability.
• Develop reusable patterns and provide product feedback based on real-world deployments.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of software engineering experience, including applied or customer-facing work.
• Strong coding skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and production AI systems.
• Experience building and deploying complex, integrated systems.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and move quickly from idea to production.
• Strong communication skills with engineers and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with agent frameworks, orchestration systems, or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or other LLM providers.
• Background in applied AI, machine learning, or automation platforms.
• Experience in startup, consulting, or forward-deployed environments.
