IT Lead – Functional Engineering (Salesforce/AI)

Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States of America, or surrounding Johnson & Johnson office locations in New Jersey; hybrid work

Salary: $94,000–$151,800 base pay per year

What you will do

• Lead Enterprise Legal Engineering capabilities and deliver secure, scalable solutions for Legal products, especially Litify Enterprise Legal Management.
• Partner with business and technology product owners to define roadmaps, prioritize backlogs, and improve customer and operational outcomes.
• Design end-to-end integrations using API-first, event-driven, microservices, middleware, and cloud architecture patterns.
• Provide Salesforce expertise across architecture reviews, design sessions, proofs of concept, development, and complex issue resolution.
• Lead AI-assisted automation and orchestration using agentic AI, RPA, cognitive services, and APIs.
• Manage vendor performance, contracts, service levels, financial planning, and technology delivery risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, a related STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of IT experience, including 2–3 years with Salesforce, API integration development, integration patterns, and complex SQL queries.
• Hands-on Salesforce product development, security, and configuration experience.
• Experience with APIs, event-driven systems, middleware, SAP BTP-IS, cloud architectures, secure data flows, encryption, identity and access management, and privacy regulations.
• Practical experience delivering agentic AI solutions and strong communication with business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools including Jira, Confluence, X-Ray, and Bitbucket.

Nice to have

• Experience with API and file-based integrations, message queues, workflow engines, and RPA tools.
• Strong Python or similar programming skills.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, containers, or Kubernetes.
• Experience onboarding third-party resources and managing work orders.
• Experience in healthcare or regulated life sciences.
