Tactical Communications Lab Test Engineer (Tactical Communications)

Location: Getafe Area, Madrid, Spain; hybrid working is available when possible.

What you will do

• Analyze technical documentation and test requirements to define integration-rig test cases, procedures, and requirement specifications.
• Prepare test datasets, simulation requirements, scripts, initialization files, and tactical scenarios.
• Execute rig test procedures, including crypto and software loading, using specialized laboratory equipment and bus analyzers.
• Assess system behavior, prepare test reports, and support root-cause investigations for problem reports.
• Manage equipment and system issues through configuration and tracking tools such as DOORS, Octane, and FTNet.
• Specify and qualify tools for decoding, recording, translation, emulation, and process automation.

Requirements

• Degree or master's degree in Telecommunications, Radiocommunications, Electronics, or Aeronautical Engineering.
• 2–6 years of experience in system testing, IV&V activities, or hands-on rig testing.
• Knowledge of tactical datalinks and communication systems, including Link 16/22, VMF, Mission Communications, SATCOM, Connectivity/ALIMS, and JRE.
• Hands-on experience with MIL-STD-1553 bus analyzers, sniffers, datalink simulators, and test support systems.
• Experience with requirement partitioning, test data creation, and traceability management.
• Advanced English and Spanish are required. NATO Security Clearance and eligibility for ITAR and National Export Control authorizations are required.
