Software Engineering Lead, AVP - Legal and Compliance Technology

Annual base salary: $160,000–$200,000

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, secure, high-performing architecture for legal and compliance systems using AWS infrastructure and SaaS platforms.
• Define technical strategies, multi-year roadmaps, and long-term technology vision aligned with legal, compliance, and business objectives.
• Architect and oversee custom applications using C#, Python, Terraform, and AWS services.
• Lead integrations with Contract Pod AI, Star Compliance, ServiceNow LSD, and Snowflake through APIs, middleware, and other integration tools.
• Ensure data privacy, security, interoperability, and compliance across global operations.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing development team while collaborating with international stakeholders and legal and compliance leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of software development and architecture experience, including legal and compliance systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, SaaS platform integration, cloud architecture, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and C#, with experience using containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of data privacy, security, compliance frameworks, APIs, middleware, and microservices architecture.
• Experience leading development teams and collaborating with global stakeholders on region-specific legal and compliance requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with legal and compliance SaaS platforms and workflows such as AML and conflicts.
• AWS certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Experience defining long-term technology vision and maintaining multi-year roadmaps.
• Experience building, mentoring, and leading high-performing development teams.
