Mechanical Engineering Co-Op (Product Testing)

Location: Morton Grove, Illinois, USA; must reside in or near Morton Grove and attend college.

Salary: USD 21–27 per hour

What you will do

• Design, develop, configure, and assemble custom product-testing rigs.
• Integrate sensors, alignment systems, connectivity, and plumbing into test setups.
• Create 3D CAD models in Siemens Solid Edge and draft 2D engineering drawings using basic GD&T principles.
• Perform basic fluid-control, mechanical, failure-analysis, and other engineering calculations.
• Write, review, and edit technical reports and coordinate testing activities with colleagues.
• Support safety, continuous improvement, and broader exposure to engineering departments.

Requirements

• Must be a second- or third-year student pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Must attend college and reside in or near Morton Grove, Illinois.
• Strong interest in hands-on mechanical design, rotating equipment, and technical problem-solving.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and projects.
• Competence with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• CAD experience is preferred, including Siemens Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar tools.
