Career Counselor Pool

Location: On-campus and virtual services across the Heritage, Windward, and Oso Creek campuses. Must be authorized to work in the United States; the position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: Minimum $18.50 per hour

What you will do

• Provide individual and group career advising, career direction services, workshops, and career-planning activities.
• Help students and alumni develop job-search skills, employment preparation strategies, and career plans.
• Develop career services for minority, non-traditional, returning, at-risk, and traditional student populations.
• Maintain and share information about career fields, employers, employment opportunities, internships, and work-study positions.
• Build relationships with employers and support recruitment, career fairs, marketing activities, and campus events.
• Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and campus departments while supporting career-service databases and resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least one year of experience in higher education, career coaching, general counseling, or mentoring.
• Knowledge of career advising practices, academic requirements, transfer requirements, occupational information, and labor-market information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with familiarity with virtual platforms.
• Strong written, listening, and speaking skills, with the ability to organize activities, coordinate groups, solve problems, and work cooperatively.
• United States work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future. Successful applicants must complete criminal background and reference checks.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Counseling or Business.
• Experience working with non-traditional, at-risk, and traditional student populations.
