Product Analyst (Investment Management)

Location: Newport Beach, California, USA

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 annual base salary, plus a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Build expertise in investment processes, portfolio positioning, market outlooks, and assigned investment strategies.
• Support Account Management and Client Management as an internal resource for covered strategies.
• Develop product and client-service materials with Portfolio Management and Marketing.
• Prepare attribution, performance, risk reporting, market updates, portfolio commentary, and portfolio construction materials.
• Track competitors, evaluate platform growth opportunities, and support RFP and DDQ responses.
• Apply and help develop AI-powered tools to improve recurring workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, applied science, or a related discipline.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience; investment management or alternatives internship experience is preferred.
• Strong mathematical, quantitative, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; reasonable Bloomberg proficiency is preferred.
• Experience using emerging technologies and AI tools to solve problems and improve outcomes.
• Strong organization, time management, collaboration, and multitasking skills, with enthusiasm for financial markets, investing, and macroeconomics.

Nice to have

• Interest in pursuing the CFA designation or active participation in the CFA program.
• Internship experience in investment management or alternative investments.
• Bloomberg proficiency.
