CNC Machinist 2

Location: Lawrence, Massachusetts, United States; onsite. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:40 p.m.–12:10 a.m.

Pay: $22.50–$37.50 per hour, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Operate CNC lathe equipment to produce parts that meet dimensional specifications.
• Set up and maintain correct machine operation, including changing inserts and tool holders and skimming jaws.
• Monitor tool wear, make dimensional adjustments, and inspect parts visually and with measuring instruments and microscopes.
• Deburr and clean parts and complete quality-control documentation and inspection sheets.
• Identify and communicate problems to the Operations Supervisor.
• Maintain an efficient, clean, and safe manufacturing environment while performing repetitive machining tasks.

Requirements

• High school or trade school diploma.
• At least 1 year of CNC machine operator experience.
• Ability to monitor tool wear and make dimensional adjustments using offsets.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including occasional movement of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
