Integration Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid model with six office days per month. Project work is mainly remote, with possible periods at client sites in Spain and other European countries.

What you will do

• Define technical architectures, solution designs, configurations, interfaces, and enhancements for SS&C Algorithmics implementations.
• Install and configure Algorithmics and third-party database, middleware, and reporting products at client sites.
• Design and implement data interfaces between client source systems and Algorithmics products, including data mapping.
• Develop customized modules using shell scripting, Perl, Python, or other development tools.
• Perform troubleshooting, functional and volume testing, system upgrades, and client integration and acceptance testing.
• Provide technical consultancy, training, and documentation for clients and internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, telecommunications engineering, or a related technical field.
• Fluent English and Spanish for client-facing work.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and file-system navigation.
• Basic programming experience in at least one language such as Java, Python, C#, C++, Kotlin, or Rust.
• Experience using AI agents and productivity tools, with strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage deliverables, estimate work, and collaborate in small multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with middleware, business intelligence, reporting software, databases, SQL, or RDBMS administration.
• Familiarity with DevOps and cloud technologies.
• Understanding of financial markets, market data, fixed income, derivatives, risk management, and financial analytics.
