Primary Research Analyst (Finance)

Location: New York or London

Salary: Minimum base salary of $100,000 per year if located in New York; discretionary bonuses and benefits may also apply.

What you will do

• Support primary research projects and channel checks across industries and investment themes.
• Identify, recruit, and engage executives, industry experts, suppliers, customers, and other market participants.
• Build and maintain expert panels and industry contact networks.
• Conduct company, industry, and competitive landscape research before expert engagements.
• Participate in interviews and research calls, take detailed notes, and synthesize findings into concise reports.
• Collaborate with investors and researchers to refine research questions and support investment decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Political Science, Communications, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in expert networks, investment research, consulting, business research, market intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong interest in financial markets, investing, and primary research.
• Excellent written communication, note-taking, information synthesis, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to think critically, evaluate information objectively, manage multiple projects, and communicate insights clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience recruiting experts, coordinating research calls, moderating interviews, or conducting qualitative research.
• Experience writing research summaries, interview notes, or analytical reports.
