Senior Backend Engineer (Go)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Go backend services and shared platform components for customer-facing products.
• Build and operate cloud-native capabilities across Kubernetes, networking, distributed systems, and multi-region services.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, automated testing, documentation, and engineering quality.
• Troubleshoot production issues across device-edge and cloud services, including SSH and reverse-tunnel workflows.
• Collaborate across engineering teams, provide technical guidance and mentorship, and contribute to scalable architecture and development practices.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of relevant software or cloud engineering experience with senior-level ownership of complex production systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong Go expertise, including concurrency, systems programming, and production HTTP services.
• Strong networking and distributed-systems fundamentals, including SSH, reverse tunneling, network security, etcd, and Redis.
• Experience with containerized CI/CD environments, production observability, and disciplined automated testing.
• Ability to read Python/Django code when needed and use AI coding tools while critically validating generated work.
