Go Developer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications in Go.
• Develop production gRPC and REST APIs and contribute to a shared codebase used across multiple engineering teams.
• Build Kubernetes-native solutions using client-go and controller-runtime.
• Work on systems involving latency, concurrency, networking, distributed systems, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to turn ambiguous requirements into engineered solutions.
• Contribute through code reviews, design reviews, debugging, performance engineering, documentation, and mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience with Go.
• Strong understanding of Go concurrency patterns, including goroutines, channels, and contexts.
• Production experience with gRPC and/or REST APIs, Kubernetes-native development, relational databases, and key-value stores.
• Solid knowledge of distributed systems and networking fundamentals, plus experience with CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Open-source contributions to Go-based projects.
• Experience writing Kubernetes operators or controllers.
• Familiarity with eBPF, service mesh, low-level systems programming, or security-sensitive Go projects.
• Experience with WASM, TinyGo, or embedded systems.
