Senior Backend Engineer (.NET)

Location: Fully remote within UTC -1 to UTC +3 time zones; listed locations include Nairobi, Accra, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Kampala, and Lagos.

What you will do

• Build and scale event-driven microservices for hirify.global Mobility's electric-mobility financing platform.
• Own solutions end to end, from architecture decisions through production monitoring and decommissioning.
• Develop backend services with C#/.NET and messaging technologies such as Azure Service Bus.
• Design and operate containerized systems using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Implement observability, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and continuous delivery.
• Collaborate with engineers across the full software lifecycle and contribute to coaching and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Strong C#/.NET development experience.
• Experience with event-driven systems and messaging technologies such as Service Bus, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with microservices architecture and Azure or another major cloud provider such as AWS or GCP.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Experience with testing, deployment, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or similar.
