Finance Support Specialist (Healthcare)

Location: Virginia Beach, VA, United States; office position

Salary: $23.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support Independent Dispute Resolution operations, including customer setup and record maintenance.
• Handle customer correspondence about payments, invoices, and disputes, escalating exceptions when needed.
• Record remittance data and reconcile customer accounts, researching short, duplicate, and discrepant payments.
• Support collections by compiling remittance details and following up on outstanding payments.
• Process accounts payable voucher uploads and verify supporting documentation.
• Provide administrative support and assist with ad hoc finance and accounting projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus two years of accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of general accounting practices.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
• Ability to work accurately with high-volume payment and remittance files and solve practical problems.
• Ability to work in an office environment in Virginia Beach, including extended periods of computer and screen use.
