Location: Fully remote for candidates authorized to work in the United States, or hybrid/local from Lakewood, Colorado. Travel typically ranges from 15–25% and may include periodic field engagement.
Salary: $140,000–$165,000 per year, based on the Denver, Colorado labor market.

What you will do
- Assess how work flows across opportunity handoff, project setup, staffing, execution, financial management, invoicing, and closeout.
- Map processes and use data, interviews, observation, and root-cause analysis to identify bottlenecks, rework, cost leakage, and capacity constraints.
- Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives from assessment and solution design through implementation, adoption, and sustainment.
- Partner with Operations and Finance on resource planning, utilization, forecasting, margin management, billing, cash flow, and delivery performance.
- Establish operational metrics, dashboards, review cadences, playbooks, tools, and minimum operating standards.
- Advise leadership on operational effectiveness, scalability, execution risk, systems, and long-term operating planning.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, operations, finance, project management, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in operations, project delivery, operational excellence, business transformation, or process improvement within a project-based professional-services environment.
- Strong understanding of project-based business mechanics, including backlog, staffing, utilization, forecasting, margin, billing, cash flow, and resource capacity.
- Ability to analyze complex operational problems, map processes, identify root causes, and implement measurable improvements.
- Strong communication, facilitation, executive presentation, and change-leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Excel and enterprise, project-management, financial, resource-planning, business-intelligence, or workflow-management systems. Must be authorized to work in the United States full time.
Nice to have
- Experience in power, energy, renewable energy, infrastructure, or engineering consulting.
- Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, or another relevant operational excellence, project management, or change management certification.
- Experience with operational integration, organizational scaling, post-acquisition alignment, or process standardization.
- Experience implementing ERP, project-accounting, resource-planning, business-intelligence, workflow-automation, or project-delivery technology.
