Associate Systems Analyst (Healthcare Revenue Cycle)

Location: Information Technology Center, Morgantown, West Virginia, United States. Travel to other West Virginia University Health System facilities or affiliated sites may be required for implementations, training, and support.

What you will do

• Support the design, implementation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of software systems supporting patient financial services and revenue cycle billing.
• Assist with system modifications, error correction, user security settings, data imports and exports, and basic reporting.
• Gather business requirements, communicate with business partners, and help align technical solutions with operational needs.
• Coordinate project scope, schedules, milestones, documentation, risks, issues, meetings, and status reporting.
• Provide classroom, one-on-one, remediation, and ongoing end-user training and support.
• Participate in continuous learning, research, knowledge sharing, and process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or two years of relevant experience.
• Foundational ability to analyze business needs, document functional specifications, troubleshoot and test systems, and support software configuration.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, attention to detail, adaptability, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a standard office environment, sit for extended periods, and perform frequent walking, standing, reaching, lifting, and related physical activities.
• Relevant certifications or proficiencies may be required within 90 days after formal training.

Nice to have

• Experience with business, clinical, imaging, or web application systems and advanced workflows.
• Systems administration experience and knowledge of clinical data management and healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.
• Knowledge of cloud-based healthcare applications, web services, reporting tools, and data analysis.
• Experience in inpatient or outpatient clinical settings and with system implementations that improve patient care processes.
