Pharmacist (Healthcare Technology)

Location: Remote within the United States; the position title references Georgia, while an active Missouri Pharmacy License is required. Work includes rotating shifts Monday–Friday between 7:30am and 9pm ET, plus rotating Saturdays from 7:00am to 5pm ET.

Employment: Full-time, salaried, 40 hours per week.

What you will do

• Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions, including therapeutic appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, dosing, quantities, labeling, and NDC accuracy.
• Perform prospective drug utilization review, specialty medication handling, cold-chain verification, and final verification before shipment.
• Provide outbound and inbound phone-based counseling, document patient interactions, and support medication education, adherence, storage, and side-effect questions.
• Contact prescribers to clarify prescriptions and coordinate therapeutic substitutions, DAW overrides, and formulary alternatives.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, conduct real-time quality checks, and support coaching, training, and workflow management.
• Collaborate with clinical, compliance, technology, patient services, shipping, and fulfillment teams on quality and operational improvements.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Active Missouri Pharmacy License in good standing with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.
• Ability to work the specified Eastern Time rotating shifts and Saturdays.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience with high-volume prescription verification, strong attention to detail, accuracy, and pharmacy management or workflow systems.
• Active home-state licensure, with the ability to obtain licensure in three additional listed states within the first nine months of hire.

Nice to have

• Bilingual Spanish counseling capability.
• Three or more years of experience in mail-order, specialty, retail, or closed-door fulfillment pharmacy.
• Prior licensure in one or more of the listed additional states.
• Familiarity with pharmacovigilance or adverse drug event reporting.
