Medical Information Specialist - RN

Location: United States. Remote work is supported, with hybrid work encouraged for new hires who live within a reasonably short commute of an office.

What you will do

• Respond to unsolicited medical and safety information requests from consumers, healthcare professionals, and other external customers through multiple communication channels.
• Provide labeled and unlabeled medical and safety information using approved labeling, standard responses, published literature, and other authorized data.
• Identify, document, and report adverse events, pregnancy reports, special situation events, and product complaints in accordance with regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Assist with preparing custom medical information responses and log all inquiries accurately and promptly in inquiry-handling systems.
• Perform quality checks on adverse events, product quality complaints, correspondence, and logged inquiries.
• Provide rotated after-hours coverage and protect confidential information in accordance with data privacy requirements.

Requirements

• Nursing degree at the RN, BS, BA, or MS level.
• English proficiency is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication, proofreading, professional telephone etiquette, and empathetic customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong verbal reasoning, critical thinking, analytical, multitasking, planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems, with the ability to learn inquiry-handling databases.
