Senior Analyst, Business Development – West (Renewable Energy)

Location: Based in the Denver office; San Francisco-based candidates may be considered case by case. Hybrid office attendance is expected Tuesday through Thursday.

Salary: $95,000–$115,000 USD annual base pay, plus eligibility for an annual cash bonus.

What you will do

• Build and maintain financial models for utility-scale renewable energy projects, evaluating economics, returns, sensitivities, and risks.
• Evaluate acquisition and sale opportunities across operating projects, development assets, and portfolios.
• Support buy-side and sell-side M&A execution, including target review, valuation, due diligence, Q&A coordination, and transaction materials.
• Support PPA pricing, bidding strategy, origination, development, and financing activities for wind, solar, and storage projects.
• Prepare analyses, memos, and presentations for senior management and investment committees.
• Coordinate the integration of acquired projects and maintain tools for tracking M&A activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record, preferably in economics, finance, or business administration.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in project finance, corporate finance, consulting, strategy, corporate development, renewable energy, or a related analytical field.
• Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills with strong financial modeling, analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, set priorities, exercise independent judgment, and summarize complex issues.
• Experience or demonstrated curiosity integrating AI tools into analytical and deal workflows.
• No visa sponsorship or employment authorization sponsorship is available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience executing M&A transactions, discounted cash flow analysis, and other valuation methodologies.
• Interest in renewable energy projects and electricity markets in the United States.
