Project HSE Manager

Location: Milano, Italy; remote work flexibility is available.

Gross annual salary: €45,000 or more, plus a variable incentive linked to performance objectives.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and continuously improve HSE activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Define project HSE strategies and ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements, legislation, and international standards.
• Lead risk assessments, HAZID, HAZOP, incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct internal and external HSE audits during prequalification, tendering, and project execution.
• Develop and deliver HSE training and behavioral safety initiatives for employees, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with manufacturing HSE, operations, local offices, clients, and project teams, including compliance of vessel operations with ISM, SOLAS, and MARPOL requirements.

Requirements

• Fluent English and Italian.
• Master’s degree in mechanical, chemical, safety, or environmental engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience as an HSE Engineer or HSE Advisor, including onshore or offshore site experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, with lead auditor certification.
• Experience with incident investigation techniques; TapRooT or Kelvin Top Set is preferred.
• Strong communication, decision-making, critical-thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and results-oriented skills.

Nice to have

• Offshore site experience.
• Knowledge of Italian and UK HSE legislation.
• Knowledge of ISO 31000 and HSE risk assessment techniques.
