Supervisor, Claims (Health Insurance)

Location: Remote, Missouri

Salary: $56,200–$101,000 per year

What you will do

• Oversee daily operations and inventory for the assigned medical claims area.
• Provide technical and leadership support to staff and resolve complex or escalated claims.
• Prioritize workloads, balance capacity, and manage operational overtime costs.
• Identify process improvements and resolve operational, financial, regulatory, and stakeholder issues.
• Monitor claims quality reviews, document findings, and perform systemic root cause analysis.
• Prepare operational reports, maintain records, and coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in health insurance, claims processing, a physician’s office, or related office services.
• Previous supervisory or lead experience with defined outcomes.
• Ability to work with state and federal regulatory requirements and resolve complex claims issues.

Nice to have

• Experience with Medicaid, Marketplace, or Medicare.
