Building Automation Controls Technician III

What you will do

• Configure and test complex building automation control systems to meet contract specifications.
• Develop and test software programs and load and commission controllers at system and network levels.
• Validate system functionality and troubleshoot issues to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with project management and engineering teams on controls projects.
• Create as-built drawings and software documentation.
• Train building owners and operators on complete building control systems.

Requirements

• Associate degree in mechanical engineering, electronics, electrical engineering, information technology, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least one year of experience with building automation control systems, particularly Schneider Electric, SmartStruxure, Space Logic, I/A, Andover Continuum, or Tridium Niagara R2/AX/N4.
• Two years of experience with mechanical and/or electrical engineering systems.
• Knowledge of construction or HVAC systems, control theory, automatic temperature controls, and building automation.
• Basic networking knowledge and experience integrating low-voltage building subsystems using protocols such as LON and BACnet.
• Ability to communicate inspection and service findings to customers and coworkers.
