Controls Technician (HVAC/Controls)

Location: Maitland, Florida; field-based work conducted on-site at customer locations

Salary: $26.35–$40.77 per hour

What you will do

• Commission, program, configure graphics and communication links, test, troubleshoot, and service assigned control system projects.
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence-of-operations validation, and project closeout requirements.
• Serve as the direct customer contact and diagnose and repair equipment and systems at customer locations.
• Coordinate with team leaders and customers on installation and repair requirements, materials, scheduling, and potential issues.
• Maintain current knowledge of Trane products and direct digital control system installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain accurate records for company-issued and procured assets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically 5–7 years of HVAC or controls experience, including 5+ years with recognized BAS control systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld devices such as smartphones and iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions in the previous three years.
• Ability to work overtime and occasional overnight stays as business needs require.
• Technical school or formal training is preferred; Niagara Workbench with N4 certification is preferred.
