Staff DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Cambridge, United Kingdom; office attendance required three days per week

What you will do

• Architect resilient and scalable cloud-native service infrastructure across regions.
• Build and optimize CI/CD processes and automation for server provisioning and application deployment.
• Deploy, monitor, and scale application services, Kubernetes clusters, APM, and AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with software development departments and plan and document technical projects.
• Mentor team members, share knowledge, and contribute to project management and strategic planning.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE and 6+ years working with Linux and Windows systems.
• Strong Kubernetes knowledge and experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS, RDS, Lambda, OpenSearch, S3, FSx, Route 53, and network appliances.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, or comparable CI systems and continuous delivery tools.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, as well as software development lifecycle and microservice architecture.
• Experience monitoring Kubernetes clusters, APM, services, and AWS infrastructure using tools such as New Relic and Prometheus.
• Ability to create automation tools in Go, Python, Bash, and PowerShell, with coding experience.
