TL;DR
Support Engineer (AWS): Supporting AWS cloud infrastructure and data platforms for dependable analytics services across multiple European markets with an accent on observability, access management, automation, and platform operations. Focus on responding to platform alerts, improving CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code workflows, and maintaining secure, reliable cloud services.
Location: Hybrid working from the London or Peterborough office, United Kingdom, approximately one day in the office per fortnight initially, moving towards one to two days per week.

What you will do
- Monitor and support AWS services and cloud data platforms using Grafana, CloudWatch, and related observability tools.
- Respond to platform alerts, support requests, routine tickets, and access requests.
- Manage AWS permissions, role-based access controls, and onboarding access provisioning.
- Assist with deployments, CI/CD pipelines, Docker workloads, and infrastructure-as-code activities.
- Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Support security, compliance, vulnerability management, and continuous platform improvement.
Requirements
- Experience supporting cloud-hosted platforms, infrastructure, or data environments.
- Exposure to AWS services including EC2, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with SQL and basic Python scripting or automation.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows, CI/CD concepts, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Collaborative communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive approach to documentation, standardisation, and continuous improvement.
Nice to have
- Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Docker, observability, monitoring, or governance tools.
- Knowledge of data cataloguing or access management solutions such as DataHub.
