Autonomy Intern - Summer 2027 (Robotics)

Location: New Hudson, Michigan, United States; onsite position

Pay: $18.00–$37.00 per hour

What you will do

• Develop and implement autonomous navigation, perception, and control algorithms.
• Analyze sensor and other system data to improve autonomy performance.
• Integrate autonomy solutions into different platforms with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Document findings and present project progress to the engineering team.
• Support project deadlines, including occasional night or weekend work during project surges.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field; BS candidates with relevant coursework, projects, or technical skills may also be considered.
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
• Experience with ROS1 or ROS2 and Linux.
• Hands-on experience with autonomous systems through research, coursework, projects, competitions, or internships.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work onsite in New Hudson, Michigan, United States.
