Junior Systems Administrator (Windows/VMware)

Location: Pompano Beach, Florida; onsite 5 days per week. The role may require travel to remote locations and after-hours maintenance or on-call support.

What you will do

• Support daily administration, maintenance, monitoring, patching, and vulnerability remediation for Windows server and infrastructure environments.
• Configure and maintain virtual servers in VMware and Hyper-V environments.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, certificates, and related infrastructure services.
• Monitor server, storage, and network health and troubleshoot connectivity and infrastructure incidents.
• Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery testing, business continuity, and technical documentation.
• Assist with switch, wireless access point, cabling, equipment deployment, ticketing, and asset inventory activities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in technical support, help desk, desktop support, or junior systems administration.
• Experience supporting Windows-based enterprise environments and using service desk or ticketing systems.
• Basic networking and systems administration knowledge, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience or knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, virtualization, backup, and recovery.
• Strong troubleshooting, customer service, documentation, and operational procedure skills.
• Bachelor’s degree, technical institute degree, or equivalent IT experience.

Nice to have

• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification.
• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification or exposure to Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring solutions, infrastructure deployments, hardware installation, and standard operating procedures.
