Software Developer (Backend)

Location: Hybrid in Montreal, Canada

What you will do

• Expand core platform capabilities across identity layers, cross-cloud data synchronization, and CRM integrations.
• Build resilient, performant multi-tiered applications and scalable backend services.
• Write maintainable, testable, supportable code and own implementations through production.
• Participate in code reviews and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Mentor new and less experienced team members through the apprenticeship program.
• Collaborate across distributed development teams using asynchronous communication.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience building modern, scalable, high-performing backend services.
• Professional experience deploying applications and managed services within AWS.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Elastic, as well as relational databases such as Postgres.
• Professional experience building RESTful APIs and evaluating technical trade-offs.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for working across distributed development teams.
