Electronics Design Engineer (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Own electronics design end-to-end, from system trades and requirements through schematic capture, PCB layout, verification, certification, and production support.
• Design robust mixed-signal PCBs for sensor-dense medical systems, balancing signal integrity, power, thermal, EMC, cost, and manufacturability.
• Select and integrate MCUs, DSPs, and other key components in collaboration with firmware and software engineers.
• Perform board bring-up, debugging, laboratory measurements, and root-cause analysis for prototype and production hardware.
• Design for manufacture and test and support the transfer of hardware into production.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, verification and validation, manufacturing, and production teams.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Experience developing electronics products that reached production.
• Mixed-signal design and simulation experience, with a strong understanding of power design, signal integrity, and EMC/EMI.
• Experience with board bring-up, debugging, and laboratory instrumentation in embedded systems.
• Ability to independently take open-ended problems through to a design and explain the underlying reasoning.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience; fluent English at C1 level or above required.

Nice to have

• Medical device or other regulated-industry experience, including familiarity with IEC 60601.
• Sensor signal conditioning, switching power converters, magnetics, analog control loops, or motor inverters.
• High-performance digital systems involving processors, FPGAs, memory, or network switches.
• RF design or RF-sensitive systems experience.
• Test interfaces or test systems using Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB.
