TL;DR
Quality Improvement - Critical Incident (Healthcare): Monitoring and improving critical incident oversight, care coordination, compliance, and reporting for Illinois Medicaid operations with an accent on audit readiness, quality metrics, and regulatory interpretation. Focus on analyzing incident classifications, conducting root cause research, coordinating risk mitigation, and developing repeatable process improvements.

Location: Remote, Illinois, United States. Occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required. Core working hours are Monday–Friday, typically 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time.

Salary: $65,000–$88,600 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

  • Monitor critical incident oversight, care coordination activity, documentation, and case closure.
  • Collaborate with Care Coordinators and leadership to determine risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare monthly state reports, quarterly audit support, Illinois Quality Improvement Committee reporting, and the annual quality report.
  • Review incident classifications, conduct compliance and quality audits, and participate in root cause analysis.
  • Develop and review quality metrics, policies, procedures, and job aids.
  • Provide training and education on critical incident updates and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience in process improvement, compliance measurement, auditing, or Medicaid/Medicare care coordination.
  • Experience in care coaching and/or care coordination.
  • Strong oral, written communication, presentation, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
  • Must be able to work remotely from Illinois and maintain Central Standard Time working hours.
  • Dedicated home workspace and internet service meeting minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.

  • Knowledge of critical incident reporting.
  • Experience with Medicaid or Medicare guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and comfort working with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
