Accountant, General Ledger (Fintech)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; hybrid work model, primarily office-based with scheduled home office flexibility

What you will do

• Post and maintain accurate journal entries in the accounting system.
• Review the validity and consistency of journal entries and account balances.
• Support month-end reconciliations for bank statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, settlements, related-party transactions, card transactions, and the General Ledger.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Prepare internal reports and collaborate with Finance, Payments, and Treasury teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Experience with ERP or automated accounting systems.

Nice to have

• ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification in progress or completed.
• SAP experience.
